Hecate, the priestess who comes when desired. She answers the cries of the suffering and brings light to those without hope.
The dreams and desires of thousands are a heavy burden to bear. Hecate is famed to have unlimited capacity in receiving those prayers, like a bottomless chalice ready to accept anything poured into it. But once she has taken on the hopes and fears of all her followers, will there still be place left for her own?
Always absorbed in silent prayer, Hecate rarely ever speaks. Her cold eyes betray no emotion. Her gestures contain no hesitation. Her anger and impatience manifest only to accomplish her objectives. Her sadness and longing remain hidden from those around her. It is possible nobody is even sure if the Hecate they see is a person or merely the tool of an impending revolution.
And Hecate is fine with that. The burden she bears is sweet. Her days of trial will be rewarded. Her journey, she knows, is an uphill climb towards a single smile.
